The Backgammon Association of South Australia (BASA) was formed and incorporated in February 1977. We are about 50 plus members strong with ages varying from 25 to 75. We meet every Tuesday night, in the Lobby Lounge of the Adelaide Hilton Hotel in Victoria Square from about 7:00pm. As a non profit association, we organise the Annual South Australian Open Championship early in the year, the Angie Hambour Memorial Tournament mid year and the Spring Tournament later in the year. We are part of the Australian and International Backgammon scene. Our aim is the promotion of Backgammon, an ancient and exciting game with a unique blend of skill and luck.
