    The Derwent Canoe Club caters for River Touring, Slalom, Wildwater Racing, Freestyle (Rodeo), Canoe Polo, Flatwater Paddling and Multi-Sport Racing. Probably the most popular site used by the club in summer is the Broken Bridge rapid on the Derwent River. The rapid is a fast grade 2 shoot with small waves and big eddies either side of the shoot.
