The flat water paddlers currently operate from the Encounter Lakes recreational reserve called Cliff Thorpe Reserve. The reserve is located on Bartel Boulevard at Encounter Bay, South Australia. Kayaks are stored in various locations and are launched from the beach at Cliff Thorpe reserve. There are toilets at the reserve and adequate parking adjacent to the storage facility.
