    The BNTA was formed in  late 1930 and is a non profit organisation, running competitive night tennis fixtures in the Brisbane local government area. The BNTA is administered by a committee elected by the players and organises singles and doubles competitions on 4 nights per week on a year round basis, catering for all standards.Competitions are played on private courts which are hired from a number of sources including tennis centres, school courts and family residences.The BNTA is affiliated with Tennis Queensland and currently has around 1300 members playing in 241 teams.

In fact, the club is one of four founding clubs from when the University was created. We are located on Blair Drive, St. Lucia within the University grounds. There are a total of 21 courts (14 Synpave, 5 Synpave Rebound Classic, 2 Synthetic grass). The five Rebound Classic courts are of international standard and feature a stadium-style centre court. All twenty one courts are floodlit for night play.
